Favorite Thing About My Profession:

The most amazing thing about my profession is caring for the patients when there is no one else. Once I had a patient who had slowly stopped eating over a short time. She became very weak and bedridden. She did not even open her eyes she was so weak.

I knew that she had to start eating if she was going to get better. I spent every spare moment giving sips of Ensure and Ensure mixed with Ensure pudding. I tried any and everything that could offer nutrition. The feeling I had when her eyes first fluttered and opened is indescribable.

I have always loved learning from my patients. They have taught me something in every aspect of life.
