First Black NURSE to hold the position of Clinical Audit and Appeals Administrator at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, in Baltimore, MD. Previous people to hold the position were non-clinical. While in this position, I was able to enhance the program by bridging the clinical appeals aspect with the hospital's regulatory audit program and revenue cycle management.
First Black Nurse to hold the position of Manager of Care Management at AbsoluteCARE Medical Center & Pharmacy, which includes registered nursing staff, clinical social workers, and lay community outreach workers. While in this position, I was able to enhance the care management program by bridging the gaps between all disciplines of my staff, producing an improved system to serve our members.
