Benjamin identifies as a queer Trans nonbinary individual and uses they/them pronouns. They have been a Registered Nurse since 2017, obtaining their bachelor's degree at Nazareth Collegeand a Master of Science in Nursing in December 2022. Benjamin is matriculated in the Clinical Nurse Specialist/Doctor of Nursing Practice program at St. John Fisher University. Benjamin’s experience has included critical care, surgical, neuro, clinical instruction, professional development, and education. In their free time, they volunteer with The Trevor Project supporting their 24/7 crisis support services to LGBTQ young people. Benjamin was nominated for University of Rochester Presidential Stronger as One Diversity Awards for their advocacy and actions. As a registered nurse and Nurse Educator Benjamin is passionate about critical care, education, advocacy, diversity, equity, inclusivity, and filling the gap between academic and clinical practice.
