Aspiring for Excellence:  NPD Role in Action!

This conference will remind you of why you chose the specialty of professional development as Nursing Professional Development (NPD) practitioners demonstrate this role in Action!

Please consider sharing your knowledge and time with other NPD practitioners who are growing and developing their professional practice.

Purpose
The purpose of this conference is to Bring the Role of the NPD Practitioner to life. You will learn some practical approaches to building and developing your professional practice.

Outcome
After attending this professional development activity, the nurse will be able to self-report improved knowledge, confidence and skills in serving as an NPD Practitioner.

Conference Objectives:
        • Inspire NPD Practitioners to be transformational leaders as they grow and develop staff, incorporate best practices and creative strategies to improve outcomes
        • Demonstrate the value that the NPD Practitioner brings to an organization
        • Enculturate nursing excellence in all NPD Practitioners

Conference Details
You are invited to submit a proposal for either a podium or a virtual poster presentation for the annual Michigan Nursing Professional Development Conference. This year it will be held on Friday, September 13 from 9:00 – 4:00 pm at Metro Hospital Professional Building in Byron Center. MI.

The 2019 MNPD Planning Committee welcomes your abstract submission on new, innovative and practical approaches that can be applied in a diversity of settings where professional development is practiced.

Abstract submissions will be reviewed using a blinded method by NPD peers.

Submissions are due by May 3, 2019.

You will be notified by June 30, 2019 of the status of your abstract submission.

Presenters will be responsible for registering for the conference by July 12, 2019.

The cost of attending the conference will be discounted for presenters!  Presenters will receive a coupon code to enter during the registration process.
