Janelle Williamson, NP-C, ACHPN
Janelle Williamson is an advance practice nurse, certified in hospice and palliative care. She is a member of the Kansas State Nurses Association and currently practices at LMH Health in Lawrence, Kansas. She has been a nurse for 18 years, 13 of which she has been a nurse practitioner. As a registered nurse she worked as an ICU nurse. As an NP she has practiced in the area of physical rehabilitation and pain management and hospice and palliative care. She is a founding member and immediate past president of the Midwest Chapter of the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association.

She is the 2020 American Association of Nurse Practitioners Clinical Excellence Award recipient and 2018 March of Dimes Nurse of the Year Award, Advance Practice Nurse finalist. She has been active with the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network and has lobbied at both the state and federal level on policy issues pertaining to access to care, tobacco control and palliative care. She is a current member of the Kansas State Palliative Care and Quality of Life Advisory Council. She is passionate about educating others on the topic of palliative care and improving access to quality palliative care services.

Participants will receive 1.25 contact hours. Contact hours will only be available until September 30, 2020.
