Chapy Venkatesan MD

Chief Quality Officer
Inova Health System

Chapy is the Chief Quality and Safety Officer at Inova Health System. In this role, he oversees performance and strategy in clinical excellence across the health system and leads a team of subject matter experts in quality, safety, patient experience, regulatory readiness, and infection prevention. Chapy has clinical background as a physician hospital medicine and leadership experience in medical staff affairs and academic medicine. Before joining Inova, Chapy completed his internal medicine residency and chief residency at Georgetown University Hospital. He earned his medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School and a degree in Psychology from the University of Virginia. Chapy enjoys teaching, mentoring, and collaborating with a goal of helping people help people.
