Cedric Rutland MD, FCCP

Cedric “Jamie” Rutland, MD, FCCP, is a triple board-certified Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Internal Medicine physician and owner of Rutland Medical Group, a busy private practice in Newport Beach, CA. Dr. Rutland is also the owner of Medicine Deconstructed Productions, a company that produces medical education for healthcare companies and the general population. He serves as Vice President for the nonprofit organization, AHSM, whose mission is to preserve the integrity of online medical information, and also serves as The Medical Director of Respiratory Care and Pulmonary Rehab at Saddleback Medical Center. He also maintains full privileges at Hoag Hospital Irvine and Newport. In addition, Dr. Rutland is the national spokesperson for the American Lung Association. He served on the frontline of the COVID-19 pandemic and has become an expert in SARS-CoV-2 and post COVID symptoms. He is a leading medical influencer on social media and an internationally recognized speaker and educator. Prior to forming his own companies, Dr. Rutland completed his Bachelor of Science from the University of California, Davis, medical school and Internal Medicine residency from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine, and completed his fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care from the University of Kansas Medical Center. He is also an expert in asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, interstitial lung disease, endobronchial ultrasound, navigational bronchoscopy, and vaping-related lung injury.
