Convulsive seizures are easy to identify, but a significant number of seizure patients, as well as those with altered mental status suffer from non-convulsive seizures.
Join us for dinner and a presentation by Mary Kay Bauder about patient presentation of non-convulsive seizures, the importance and practical application of POC EEG to aid in diagnosis and appropriate interventions to treat subclinical seizures.
Mary Kay Bader has over 40 years of experience with emphasis in neuroscience/ICU. Practicing in a variety of hospitals across the country. Ms. Bader has functioned in roles such as ICU staff, trauma nurse responder, clinical educator, clinical faculty, and clinical nurse specialist. Currently, Ms. Bader is employed as a neuroscience/critical care clinical nurse specialist working collaboratively with team members developing protocols and integrating technology into the care of critical neuro and hypothermia patient populations.

Mary Kay Bader, CCRN, CNRN, SCRN, CCNS has over 45 years of y experience with an emphasis in neuroscience/ICU. She has lectured nationally and internationally on traumatic brain injury (TBI), targeted temperature management (TTM), intracranial pressure (ICP), spinal cord injury, aneurysm, subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH), novel anticoagulants in the presence of intracranial hemorrhage and stroke. Mary Kay was honored as a Fellow for NCS in October 2013 and currently sits on the Board of Directors.
