Understanding the Significance of Blood Culture Contamination

 

A brief review of blood culture contaminations: impacts & solutions.  This includes information on Hospital Onset Bacteremia (HOB) which is a new and forthcoming quality metric that will include blood culture utilization & contaminations as reportable data.  1 credit hour of continuing education will be provided.
