Pre-Requisites

• Must currently reprocess ERCP, EBUS, EUS, 190 series and/or other specialty scopes
• Must have experience with endoscope reprocessing in a GI Setting

Course Overview

• This full-day educational program will include didactic presentations and hands-on break-out sessions. The content of this program is geared towards endoscope reprocessing professionals who are interested in reviewing the best practices for endoscope care and reprocessing of specialty endoscopes. Participants will learn how to recognize and put into practice the recommended steps required for precleaning, leakage testing, manual cleaning, high-level disinfection, and endoscope handling and storage of Olympus commonly used specialty scopes.

 

Registration Fee: 

An active Olympus full-service agreement number can be used for the course registration fee. If there is no active service agreement, the course registration fee is $175.00* per person. Please note: Please have your service agreement number to complete the course application or enter N/A when prompted in the application.

Learning Objectives

• Discuss and demonstrate proper coiling of an endoscope and proper transport
• Identify leaks and demonstrate how to properly access a leak in a scope
• Review reprocessing policies and procedures for manual cleaning of Olympus specialty scopes

 

Accreditation

• Olympus America Inc. has been approved as a provider by the California Board of Registered Nursing.
• Olympus America Inc. has been approved as a provider by the CBSPD for 6 contact hours.
• Olympus America Inc. has been approved as a provider by HSPA for 6 contact hours.

Meals and Transportation Breakfast and Lunch will be provided for course attendees. Olympus does not provide or reimburse for any travel accommodations or expenses related to this continuing education activity.

Course Registration & Application Instructions Please utilize Google Chrome to navigate the Continuum site and create an individual profile prior to applying for an educational event. Once your profile is created you will receive an email confirming your account registration. You can now register for courses and complete learning on the education portal. You may then select your specialty and complete the application. Upon successful completion of the application, you will receive an automated confirmation email to the email on file. The Program manager will send additional correspondence leading up to the course.   First Time Users Registration Instructions ·         Click “Sign Up for Olympus Continuum” to create a profile. A pop-up form will open. ·         Fill in the required information, including acceptance of the terms & conditions. (You may have to turn your device horizontally to widen the screen for the Terms & Conditions) o    Please ensure accuracy when entering your email address. ·         You will receive a confirmation message on the screen and the platform will send you an email. (We recommend using a personal email to create your user profile) o    Press the link in the email to confirm your identity. ·         Insert the username & password received in the registration email into the login form, click “Sign In”. ·         Please complete your profile and save changes. This step will complete your portal account set up. You may now access the portal by choosing “Home” in the upper left-hand corner.
