The Greater Kansas City AACN Chapter is honored to partner with NewHouse KC, our city’s first domestic violence shelter, for an upcoming volunteer event on Monday, September 30th, 2025 from 4:00pm - 6:30pm. 

NewHouse transforms the lives of survivors and their families by providing safe shelter, wraparound services, and advocacy that breaks the cycle of domestic violence. This is our chance to stand alongside them in that mission.

Come help sort and organize donated items, clothing, and more! Note: All participants must register through the link provided and have completed a background check as instructed by NewHouse KC's mandatory volunteering guidelines. You will need to set up an account to complete your registration successfully. You will receive an email with a link for your background check (be sure to check your junk folder). Click the link to fill it out and then we will let you know when we receive approval notice. Please note that you have complete anonymity and we will not see any of the information on the report.
