Speakers
Nurse Consultant & Researcher in Practice Solutions and CEO of NovEx Novice to Expert Learning
Dr. Patricia Hooper Kyriakidis is CEO at NovEx Novice to Expert Learning and has been a pivotal innovator in creating digital learning technologies, designed to improve nursing education. Her work emphasizes enhancing clinical reasoning and judgment by integrating neurobiology of learning strategies, particularly for new and developing nurses. Her contributions extend across education, practice, research, and leadership in nursing, focusing on bridging the gap between academics and nursing practice. Nursing, particularly clinical practice and education, has been Pat’s life's work. Dr. Kyriakidis’ research has focused on expertise development. She was co-recipient, with Dr. Patricia Benner, of four AJN Book of the Year awards and also the Media of the Year award for Clinical Wisdom and Interventions in Acute & Critical Care for contributions to nursing education and research. She received the Florence Nightingale Award for Foreign Nursing Service for her work in Cambodian refugee camps. Her initiatives and mentorship of others demonstrate a sustained impact on the professional development of clinicians.
Exhibit & Sponsor
Dear Potential Exhibitor,
The Alabama League for Nursing is pleased to announce our upcoming annual conference. This event attracts nursing educators from across the state of Alabama. As the role of the professional nurse continues to expand, participants at this event will be eager to visit with exhibitors that can provide information on books and technology resources, further degree advancement opportunities, organizations for professional membership and service, and other vendors or services that are contributing to quality nursing education. We welcome exhibitors to consider Gold, Silver, or Bronze level sponsorship of the event.
Thank you for your interest in the ALN Conference, and I hope to see you on February 28, 2026!
Sincerely,
Lora Shelton, ALN Secretary
