Additional Information

The American Organization for Nursing Leadership (AONL) and the AONL Foundation, with support from AvaSure, are excited to announce the upcoming Leadership Symposium, “Virtual Care Nursing: From Readiness to Results”

This interactive virtual event will focus on preparing the workforce, supporting practice, and delivering value in virtual care nursing. Designed for leaders at every stage of adoption, the symposium will offer a practical framework—from workforce readiness and program implementation to evaluating outcomes. National experts and health system leaders pioneering virtual care nursing models will share valuable insights and lessons learned.

The Leadership Symposium will feature three facilitated virtual panel discussions exploring:

Preparing the Nursing Workforce—The Foundation for the Future of Practice

  • Integrating virtual care principles and emerging technologies into undergraduate and graduate curricula
  • Establishing core principles for virtual care delivery
  • Leading change management to prepare nurses for new models of care

Supporting the Workforce, Advancing Innovation, and Ensuring Value

  • Innovative staffing models and optimal assignment design to promote safety, quality, and well-being
  • Benchmarking, productivity, and performance metrics
  • Evaluating the financial and clinical value of virtual nursing models and investments

Measuring Success and Scaling Opportunities

  • Advancing patient safety, quality of care, and the patient experience through virtual nursing
  • Strengthening staff retention, engagement, and support for an intergenerational workforce
  • Identifying scalable strategies to optimize resources and drive care redesign across diverse settings

This year, we are pleased to offer 2.0 NCPD contact hours for symposium attendees.
