This years Leadership Retreat is specifically designed to empower and inspire nurses in their leadership roles. This is a unique opportunity for nurses at all levels to come together and learn from experts and peers in the field. This retreat will provide you with the knowledge and tools to excel in your nursing leadership journey.
At the conclusion of this presentation, participants will be able to:
- Understand the characteristics of effective meeting leadership and how parliamentary procedure creates a structured, respectful meeting environment.
- Become familiar with the planning and preparation required before a meeting is called to order, including agenda development and use of the consent agenda.
- Gain an understanding of the standard order of business and the procedural steps involved in opening, conducting, and closing a meeting.
- Recognize the purpose and proper content of meeting minutes as the official record of organizational decisions and understanding what must and must not be documented.
