Discover Nursing Associations

Our community has a rich nursing history. District 1 of the Maryland Nurses Association (MNA) is proud to represent nurses living and working in Allegany and Garrett Counties. Tucked away in the mountains of western Maryland our members represent a wide variety of professional nurses.

District 3 of the Maryland Nurses Association (MNA) is delighted to represent nurses who live and work in Anne Arundel County. District 3 is the home of Maryland’s State capital, Annapolis, situated on the Chesapeake Bay at the mouth of the Severn River, 25 miles south of Baltimore and about 30 miles east of Washington, D.C., Annapolis is part of the Baltimore–Washington metropolitan area.

The Maryland Nurses Association District 5 is part of the only state-wide, non-profit, multipurpose professional membership organization for Registered Nurses in Maryland. The primary purpose of MNA is to provide direction and a voice for the profession of nursing in Maryland.

The Maryland Nurses Association District 9 promotes excellence in the nursing profession with a culture of camaraderie, mentoring, diversity, and respect for colleagues.

The National Black Nurses Association’s mission is “To represent and provide a forum for black nurses to advocate for and implement strategies to ensure access to the highest quality of healthcare for persons of color.”
