Job Summary And Qualifications

What You Will Do In Your Role:

• The Nurse Manager oversees the care of adult and geriatric patients.
• Oversees the care of the adult and geriatric patients and provides for the development and evaluation of nursing staff.
• Serves as a patient advocate with the health care system.
  
  

What qualifications you will need:

• At least two years as a staff Registered Nurse.
• Two years management experience or charge Nurse experience in a hospital setting
• Graduate of accredited school of nursing; BSN highly preferred
• Current Texas Licensure with State Board of Nurse Examiners
• Current BCLS certification required.
• EKG Test scores of 80% or better within 8 months. Test can be repeated up to 3 times.
• Maintains current clinical competence
• Annual Skills Checklist
• Completed Take Charge workshop
• ACLS within 1 year
• Code Blue certification within 8 months of hire and then every two years for ACLS.
• Medication module Test score of 80% or remediation.
