Position Description

Black Owl Recruiting is sourcing for a Registered Nurse to join our reputable client. The Clinical Registered Nurse (RN) provides high-quality, compassionate, and evidence-based care to patients in a clinical setting. The RN is responsible for assessing patient needs, developing and implementing care plans, administering medications and treatments, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive nursing assessments of patients and document findings.
  • Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments per provider orders and institutional protocols.
  • Monitor patient progress and communicate changes in condition to the healthcare team.
  • Educate patients and their families on diagnoses, procedures, medications, and follow-up care.
  • Assist providers during exams and minor procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and quality assurance standards.
  • Participate in clinical meetings, training, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and families.

Qualifications:

  • Current RN license in New York required
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
  • BLS and ACLS certification (PALS may be required based on patient population)
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience
  • Strong organizational, communication, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced outpatient setting

Working Conditions:

  • Fast-paced clinical environment with scheduled surgical cases
  • Standing, walking, and lifting required for extended periods
  • Work schedule may vary based on surgical schedule; 9 AM start time, Monday to Friday, 8 - 10 hours a day (No nights or weekends)

Compensation:

$55.00 / hour
