The Short Stay Unit is a fast-paced short stay acute care, admissions unit working collaboratively with the ED and inpatient teams to assess, monitor, and manage patients with an expected 24-48-hour length of stay. Currently offering up to $10,000 in recruitment bonuses for qualified energetic RN’s who are passionate about nursing. We will consider full-time 12-hour shifts or part-time shared hours. Night shifts available.

Pay Range: $37.60-$58.35
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.

The Short Stay Unit is a fast-paced short stay acute care, admissions unit working collaboratively with the ED and inpatient teams to assess, monitor, and manage patients with an expected 24-48-hour length of stay. What You Will Do
- Perform initial and ongoing assessments, including vital signs, pain levels, and neurological status. Monitor patients for changes in condition and escalate care as needed
- Therapeutic nursing interventions, hands on skills including class II telemetry monitoring, POCT, IV Placement, and venipunctures. Coordinate patient education, goal setting, care planning, multidisciplinary care team coordination, and discharge planning.
- Collaborative team approach using SNAP rounding daily with interdisciplinary team to ensure patients are on track with goals, patients are progressing, and needs are met.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited college or university affiliated nursing program. BSN per NYS Guidelines.
- Licensure: Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse RN in New York.
- Certification: BLS & ACLS
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years clinical experience Med/Surg or Acute Care setting preferred
