Description: Our client is currently seeking a Travel RN- Emergency Department in Watertown, NY!

Registered Nurse - Emergency Department (ED)

Facility: Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown, NY

Job Type: Travel Contract (13 weeks)

Schedule Type: Deferred Schedule

Shift: Night Shift (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)

Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week

Start Date: June 9, 2025

End Date: September 10, 2025

Compensation & Benefits

Overtime Pay:

• Daily OT after 24 hours (based on multiplier)
• Weekly OT after 48 hours (based on multiplier)
  
  

On-Call: Not required

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care in a fast-paced ED environment
• Identify and intervene in life-threatening situations
• Assess clinical, teaching, mental, and spiritual needs of patients
• Ensure safe patient handling using lifts when necessary
• Function effectively in stressful situations with strong problem-solving skills
• May be required to assume charge nurse duties
  
  

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
• Minimum 1 year of acute care nursing experience (ED experience preferred)
• Critical Care and Charge Nurse experience preferred
• Current NYS RN license
• BLS & ACLS certifications required
• PALS certification required (or obtained within 6 months of hire/transfer)
• Must successfully complete lethal dysrhythmia exam during probation
• Defibrillation certification required within six months of employment
• IV, medication, and phlebotomy certification required during orientation
• MEDITECH charting experience preferred
