Job Summary and Qualifications:

The Staff RN assigned to the Endoscopy Unit cares for adolescents, adults and geriatrics. Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for assigned patient.

What you will do in your role:

• You will be responsible for pre, intra and post- op, procedure/ treatment care.
• You will be responsible for pre, intra, and post-op procedure/treatment patient/family education.
• You will administer medications as ordered by the physician.
• You will be responsible for the care and set-up of all endoscopes.
• You will be Rresponsible for setting up all equipment (video, scope washer, etc.).
• You will assist the physician with all Endoscopy procedures.
  
  

What qualifications you will need:

• Two years of nursing experience preferred.
• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Current Texas licensure with State Board of Nurse Examiners.
• American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification
• American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Life Support Course (ALS or ACLS) and Certification within 6 month
