Pay: $75-78/hr

Weekly: $3,120.00

Job Title:

Clinical Nurse Educator

Location: Rutland Nursing Home – New York, NY

Job Summary:

Rutland Nursing Home is seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Nurse Educator to join our team. This role is responsible for the planning, development, and implementation of orientation, training, and educational programs to enhance the clinical knowledge and skills of nursing and facility staff. This position plays a key role in supporting high-quality care for our pediatric residents and maintaining regulatory compliance.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in pediatric long-term care or acute care.
  • Ventilator care experience.

Education & Licensure:

Required:

  • Graduate of an accredited RN program.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
  • Valid New York State RN License.
  • Current BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate the orientation program for all nursing staff.
  • Develop and conduct in-service training sessions and continuing education programs across all departments.
  • Ensure all staff are informed of current clinical practices, regulatory updates, and facility policies.
  • Create an environment that supports engagement, professional growth, and high-quality pediatric care.
  • Prepare and distribute monthly and annual in-service calendars.
  • Collaborate with HR and department heads to facilitate new employee onboarding.
  • Conduct rounds to assess staff training needs and support quality care delivery.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for all educational activities (e.g., lesson plans, attendance records, evaluations).
  • Partner with Infection Control, Pharmacy, Quality Assurance, and Safety Committees to align education with facility initiatives.
  • Monitor nursing practices to ensure compliance with policies related to wound care, medication handling, infection prevention, and other standards.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and assist in evaluating clinical outcomes.
  • Work with Unit Nurses to maintain standards of care and assess staff competencies, including documentation audits.
  • Assist in the evacuation of residents during emergencies, as needed.
