Our Neuro Surgical Trauma ICU (NeST) is Idaho’s first and only dedicated

Neuro ICU, housed within a Level II Trauma Center and Level I

Comprehensive Stroke Center. This is cutting edge neuroscience, surgical complexity, and trauma care all in

one place—with the right team, the right tech, and the right mission.

What makes our Neuro Surgical Trauma ICU a unicorn in Idaho:

• The only Neuro ICU in the state
• Only SICU in Idaho with board-certified, fellowship-trained Surgical Intensivists
• Home to Idaho’s only fellowship-trained Neuro Intensivists
• 18-bed unit designed with advanced tech and patient-centered care in mind

• Portable CT scanner for bedside surveillance scans
• Fixed and portable Natus EEG brain monitoring
• Ceiling booms for 360° patient access and ceiling lifts in all rooms
• Private patient rooms with large family areas and sleeper sofas
• Direct elevator access to heli-pad, ED, and OR
• Large, interdisciplinary workstations to keep eyes on patients at all times

• You’ll work shoulder-to-shoulder with a 24/7 in-house MD team, including:
• Neuro Intensivists
• Surgical Intensivists
• Fellowship-trained cerebrovascular and skull base neurosurgeons
• Endovascular neurosurgeons and neurointerventional radiologists
• You’ll gain exposure to quaternary-level care in a community setting
• Our dedicated unit-based educator supports your ongoing development
  
  

Qualifications

• RN license in Idaho or compact state (ID residency required within 6 months if applicable)
• BLS required; ACLS & PALS within set timelines
• Critical care experience preferred
