Our Ambulatory Surgical Center Client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse to join their surgical team. The OR Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. Areas of expertise encompass (but are not limited to) general surgery, GI, plastics, pain, and gynecology. Over 90% of these procedures are outpatient. Shift schedule will be Monday-Friday 7a-3p, with rotating on-call team. This role requires a compassionate and detail-oriented individual who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Must-Haves: · Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in PA · Minimum of 2 years of experience as a RN in OR, ED, Med Surg, or similar specialty · BLS and ACLS certification required. · Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, and equipment. · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. · Ability to work well under pressure and in a team-oriented environment. · Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Key Responsibilities: · Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures by ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and sterile. · Assist the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments, sponges, and other items as needed. · Monitor patients’ vital signs and provide necessary interventions during surgery. · Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including preoperative and postoperative documentation. · Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. · Adhere to strict aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. · Provide postoperative care and education to patients and their families. · Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in surgical nursing.
