Glen Echo Surgery RN is hiring a PACU RN FT
PACU Registered Nurse (PACU RN) at Glen Echo Surgery Center
The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge

Pay Range- Min: $45 to Max: $57

Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
- Active RN license in the state
- BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center
- 2 years experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
- Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
- Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written

Required Skills:
Job Qualifications:
- High School Graduate or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in a clinical environment preferred
- 2-3 years of scheduling experience preferred
- Ability to read, write and comprehend English
- Basic typing and computer experience
- Excellent planning and organizational skills, ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks
- Ability to work quickly and under pressure
- Team player, willingness to help others
- Excellent telephone and communication etiquette, including listening skills
- Ability to be proactive and foresee and solve problems.
- Alertness and adaptability to change in a situation
- Punctual and shows a responsible and dependable pattern of attendance
- Overall understanding of the outpatient surgery business, including equipment, case types, and insurance.
