Job Summary And Qualifications

Manages the Worker’s Compensation exposure for the hospital and minimizes pre-occurrence exposure by promoting universal compliance with occupational safety and risk management policies and procedures and related laws and regulations. Minimizes post-occurrence exposure by conducting necessary fact-finding, ensuring that proper medical care is obtained, and by working with other parties involved towards settlement of respective obligations. Administers the facility’s Employee Health program and coordinates with Infection Control policies and initiatives as required. This position requires knowledge of both department and hospital policies and procedures relating to worker’s compensation. Interpretive skills, frequent interactive and consultative associations, along with use of clinical knowledge, are inherent in this position. The ability to retrieve, communicate or otherwise present information in a written, auditory or visual fashion is essential. Telephone and manual dexterity skills are required.

What qualifications you will need:

• Florida RN license required with Specialty Certification a plus
• Associate Degree in Nursing
• Bachelors degree in Nursing or equivalent preferred or working towards same.
• Minimum of three years of recent hospital experience, preferably also with experience in an industrial setting.
• OCC Health and Workers Comp experience preferred
• Risk management experience preferred
• Must be available Monday-Friday
