A Long Island-based rehabilitation services network is actively seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join one of their facilities.

About the Opportunity:

• Shift: Days or Evenings
• Schedule: Monday to Friday
• Hours: 7am to 3pm or 3pm to 11pm
• Setting: Correctional Facility

Responsibilities:

• Conduct initial health assessments and daily sick calls for incarcerated individuals
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by facility healthcare providers
• Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid and basic life support as needed
• Monitor and manage chronic health conditions
• Collaborate with physicians, mental health professionals, and correctional staff to coordinate patient care
• Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in accordance with HIPAA and facility policies
• Participate in intake screening and assessment of newly incarcerated individuals
• Ensure compliance with Department of Health and correctional healthcare standards

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Solid assessment and documentation skills
• Great interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly organized
