A social services organization in New York City is currently seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their growing Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team in Queens.

About the Opportunity:

• Start Date: ASAP
• Programs: Assertive Community Treatment (ACT)
• Schedule: Monday to Friday
• Hours: 9am to 5pm
• Caseload: 5 per day
• EMR: Awards

Responsibilities:

• Conducting mental status exams
• Assessing physical health needs
• Making appropriate referrals to Community Physicians
• Providing management and administration of medications in conjunction with Psychiatrist
• Participating on team that delivers an integrated array of treatment, rehabilitation and support services, customized to each person
• Participating in rotating 24-hour crisis coverage and response
• Perform other related duties, as assigned

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in a Treatment and/or Rehabilitation setting
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Knowledge of Nursing assessment methods
• Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
• Patient oriented
• Great interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly organized
