Job title: RN- Labor and Delivery
Location: Detroit, MI
Duration: 13 weeks with possible extension
Shift: 7pm to 7:30 am

Required:
Experience in labor and delivery
Experience with high risk
Be able to circulate operating room for c-section
Must have NRP and BLS

Duties:
Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to health care team. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures implementation of solutions.

Skills:
Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans within the unit/department to which staff is assigned. Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and hospital personnel.

Schedule Notes:
• Nurse to patient Ratio: o 95% of the time, 1:1 o Possibly 2:2 – observation patients or early labor/postpartum
• Self starter, good communication
