Job Description

The Case Manager - RN Will Be Responsible For

• Performing utilization review and discharge planning for inpatient admissions.
• Applying InterQual Inpatient criteria to determine inpatient and outpatient care appropriateness.
• Collaborating with medical teams to identify alternative care options for patients.
• Coordinating patient discharge with nursing and social work teams.
• Managing observation status patients and ensuring appropriate utilization.
• Facilitating post-hospital care and long-term planning for patients and families.
• Participating in Saturday, holiday, and beeper rotations when needed.
• Ensuring compliance with insurance, regulatory, and contractual requirements.
• Following MACIPA Case Management standards and guidelines.
  
  

Submission & Compliance Requirements

• Experience:
• Minimum 3 years of medical/surgical nursing experience required.
• Minimum 2 years of case management or utilization management experience required.
• EMR: EPIC experience preferred.
• Candidate Restrictions:
• Facility not accepting local candidates.
• Candidates cannot have worked at any Beth Israel facility (perm or travel) within the past 6 months.
• Licensure:
• Active MA RN license required at submission.
• Certifications:
• BLS (AHA) required.
• COVID Requirements:
• COVID vaccines + booster required at submission (declinations not accepted).
• Required Documentation:
• BILH Coversheet must be included.
• Basic Computer Skills: Required.
• Strong Communication & Problem-Solving Skills: Required.
• Demonstrated Ability to Work Independently: Required.
