Title: Nurse Manager, Emergency Department

Pay Range:$58.80-$84.00/Hrs

Description

• Assumes 24-hour responsibility for patient care assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Oversees and directs the emergency department, ensuring quality nursing care.
• Fosters a collaborative and respectful environment among healthcare team members.
• Covers weekends and holidays as needed.
• Performs related duties as required.
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Develop long-term staffing schedules and ensure daily coverage.
• Monitor unit performance metrics such as costs, vacancy, and turnover rates.
• Oversee daily workflow, staffing, and employee development.
• Promote a collaborative team approach for emergency and trauma care.
• Manage customer satisfaction and implement improvement plans.
• Investigate and resolve patient, physician, and staff complaints.
• Conduct monthly staff meetings to address various departmental concerns.
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of nursing experience in management/supervision within the Emergency Department.
• Master’s Degree in Nursing.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, & PALS.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
