Camp Claire is seeking a child-friendly REGISTERED NURSE to join our staff. Our talented, experienced staff of nurses provide healthcare to a fantastic group of children aged 7 to 15 as well as our staff. Responsibilities include: checking health forms before campers arrive for completeness and accuracy, assessing and treating injuries, organizing daily sick calls, dispensing daily meds, entering online medical records, and responding to medical emergencies.

Session 2: July 6 to July 19 (can be split into 2 one week sessions)

- Free room with private bath and 3 meals a day included.

- Camp aged children of successful applicant may attend Camp for each week worked

Job Requirements:

Licensed RN, previous ER or School nurse experience preferred, current CPR and first aid certification required

Ability to work with children aged 7 to 15

A current CT license (RN) is a prerequisite. Prior pediatric experience is preferred but warmth, patience and the ability to communicate effectively with campers, staff and parents are all crucial. Experience with computers is also a requirement as we use an online database for our health records. Ability to work as part of a team.

Camp Claire is an outdoor focused summer camp featuring many physically demanding activities on land and water. Staff members are regularly required to walk, hike and otherwise move in woods, fields, sandbars, and the cove. In order to perform the job, each staff member of Camp Claire must be physically able to travel around a large rural environment (fields, woods, sandbar, etc.) over uneven ground on a regular basis.
