Responsibilities:
* Perform orthoptic exams on ophthalmology patients including diagnosis and treatment of specific conditions.
* Instructs ophthalmology residents, medical students, physician’s assistants, and allied health personnel on pediatric ophthalmology.
* Plan and coordinate the daily operational activities of the department including direct supervision of the clinic assistant and the ophthalmology residents on rotation.
* Provide patient/family education relating to specific conditions, schedule surgeries for the ophthalmology patients, order supplies, etc.

WORK EXPERIENCE
* At least 2 years' experience in ophthalmic technology with at least 2 years internship in orthoptics required

EDUCATION
* Four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and Completion of 2-year Orthoptic Program required

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
* Orthoptic certification preferred
