Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Travel Contract)

Shift: Day Shift | 3x12s | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Schedule: 36 Hours/Week

Pay: $2200/week

Pride Health is hiring experienced Medical Surgical RNs for a 13-week travel contract in Columbus, OH. This is a great opportunity for nurses who thrive in fast-paced environments and are comfortable floating across units of similar or lower acuity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult patients
• Float to various med-surg units as needed
• Perform IV starts, medication administration, patient monitoring, and education
• Document care using EPIC EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including PT, RT, pharmacy, and social services

Requirements:

• Active RN license (OH or Compact)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Med-Surg experience
• Current BLS certification
• Proficiency in IV starts and general nursing skills
• Experience with EPIC EMR preferred
• Previous travel experience preferred

Unit Details:

• 31-bed med-surg unit with an average daily census of 25
• Common diagnoses: COPD, CKD, anemia, AMS, abdominal pain, falls, and more
• Equipment used: NG/Dobhoff, wound vacs, chest tubes, Kangaroo pumps
• Self-scheduling with every other weekend coverage
• Orientation: 24 hours

Additional Notes:

• Must be willing to float within the facility
• Two professional references required (one must be from a supervisor or manager)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
• COVID-19 vaccine not required
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
