Description

At Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center/Mount Sinai Rehabilitation/Behavioral Health the Senior Clinical Advisor serves as the Assistant Nurse Manager by assisting the nurse manager with administrative and managerial duties, as well as supporting the healthcare staff with the administration of best clinical practices.

What You Will Do

  • Assisting under the guidance of the Nurse Manager, the Assistant Nurse Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing unit personnel and maintaining the nursing unit environment.
  • Under the direction of the nurse manager, the assistant nurse manager will contribute to staffing decisions, including hiring and termination, as well as evaluate and mentor staff competency while shouldering budgetary responsibilities.
  • This role necessitates the promotion of a healthcare culture that prioritizes growth and input from frontline staff. It calls for an empowered leader capable of facilitating the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Graduated from an accredited School of Nursing, with a preference for a Bachelor of Science in Nursing BSN degree.
  • Registered Nurse RN Licensure: Must hold a valid and current Connecticut registered nurse licensure.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in Behavioral Health nursing is required. Preference is given to candidates with 1 or more years of management or supervisory experience, such as charge nurses.
  • BLS or CPR certification: Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross will be accepted.
