Position Description
Title: Nurse Manager, Emergency Department
Location:Northeast Region (Onsite)
Employment Type: Contract
Compensation
Pay Range:$58.80-$84.00/Hrs
Description
Assumes 24-hour responsibility for overall assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
Oversees and directs the emergency department, accountable for planning, directing, leading, and evaluating nursing care.
Fosters an environment of collaboration and respect with all healthcare team members.
Performs related duties as required.
Key Responsibilities
Develop long-term unit staffing schedules and ensure adequate daily coverage.
Monitor unit operational performance metrics and implement improvements.
Oversee daily workflow, staffing, orientation, training, and development of department employees.
Promote a collaborative team approach in providing care for all patients.
Maintain a departmental dashboard with progress on people, service, quality, and leadership.
Investigate and resolve patient, physician, and staff complaints/concerns.
Qualifications
Minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience in management and/or supervision in the Emergency Department.
Master’s Degree in Nursing.
Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse.
BLS, ACLS, & PALS certifications.
Demonstrated leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
