USPI Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Greater Heights is seeking a motivated Operating Room Nurse to join our team. We have 5 OR rooms and 3 Treatment rooms. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in ENT, General, GI, GYN, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Pain, Plastic, Podiatry, Urology. We are looking for a candidate to be available Monday-Friday, schedule subject to changed based on surgical schedule and flow of day. Candidate needs to be available for some early mornings and later evenings.

Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some later evenings required.

Job Summary: The OR Registered Nurse is responsible for the nursing activities related to care of the patient experiencing an operative or other invasive procedure. The staff member can expect to care for adult patients, including the older adult through geriatric, and pediatric patients from 1 month through adolescence. Our scope of service includes gastroenterology, orthopedics, podiatry, ENT, urology, pain management, ophthalmology, and general surgery.

Required Skills:

Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.

Minimum Two Years Previous OR Experience

Current Texas license as a Registered Nurse

Current in CPR, ACLS and PALS

Possess the ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities.

Possess the ability to deal tactfully with patients, families, physicians, and employees.

Knowledgeable of policies and procedures specific to operating room nurse.

USPI complies with federal, state, and/or local laws regarding mandatory vaccination of its workforce. If you are offered this position and must be vaccinated under any applicable law, you will be required to show proof of full vaccination or obtain an approval of a religious or medical exemption prior to your start date. If you receive an exemption from the vaccination requirement, you will be required to submit to regular testing in accordance with the law.
