Job Title: Postpartum RN

Location: New York, NY

Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM + EOW Required

Unit: Postpartum Couplets / Newborn Nursery

Job Summary:

Join Women & Children’s Services as a Registered Nurse providing safe, competent, quality care to postpartum and newborn patients. This role requires expertise in couplet care and working with babies in a fast-paced, supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver nursing care grounded in evidence-based practice and Relationship Centered Care.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care needs collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams.
• Educate patients and families about postpartum care, newborn care, and transition to home.
• Maintain therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
• Perform clinical duties including magnesium sulfate administration and other specialty postpartum interventions.

Requirements:

• RN NYS License
• BLS - AHA required
• BSN (ADN considered with relevant experience)
• EPIC (preferred)
• Minimum 2 years postpartum and antepartum nursing experience
• Minimum 2 years RN experience overall
• Newborn nursery and true couplet care experience required
• Magnesium sulfate experience (must be listed on resume)

• Unit average census: 17.4 patients
• Beds per unit: 23
