15 hours per week during summer break- no weekends, holidays or on call
This position requires experience working in an outpatient medical practice or school setting.

The Triage RN acts as a Technical / Clinical leader in the Health Service managing the Clinical work processes. It is a working Team leader position. Additionally, this position requires collaboration with the manager and providers to ensure clinical protocols and processes are followed and manage clinical coverage appropriately.
Responsibilities
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.

Responsibilities
- Utilizing the nursing process, diagnosis and treats human responses to actual or potential problems, considering individual patient special physical and age-related needs and resources.
- Is accountable to the patient, family and peers for the totality of work performed in order that the Health Service can fulfill its mission of providing quality ambulatory health care to the college student community.
- Performs Immunization surveillance to maintain compliance with NYSDOH Public Health Laws.
- Telephone triage responding to student healthcare needs with appointment scheduling and referrals as appropriate
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Three to five years nursing experience, preferably in an ambulatory health care and/or school health setting and as determined by individual health care service and specialty needs.
- Demonstrates the appropriate skills and ability to assess, treat and care for college students served by the Health Care Center.
- Current NYS license and registration
- Current CPR Certification
- Computer competencies: proficient in Electronic Health Record use, appointment scheduling software, Google workspace, Excel, NYSIIS database
- BSN highly preferred
- Must be able to lift 20 lb
