Registered Nurse (RN) – Float Team

Location: Saint Mary’s Hospital, Waterbury, CT

Schedule: Full-Time (36 hours/week) |12-Hour Day or Night Shift | Every Third Weekend

About The Role

Saint Mary’s Hospital is seeking experienced and adaptable Registered Nurses to join our dynamic team. As a Float RN, you will have the unique opportunity to work across multiple units, including:

• Medical-Surgical Units: Sacred Heart 5 (SH5), O’Brien 4 (OB4), and O’Brien 7 (OB7)
• Critical Care and Emergency Department (with additional training)
  
  

You will be assigned to a unit at the start of each shift by the Nursing Supervisor and may float between units during your 12-hour shift based on staffing needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor, assess, and document patients’ clinical status
• Deliver safe, patient-centered care across various levels of acuity
• Support patient rehabilitation and recovery
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality outcomes
• Adapt quickly to different unit environments and patient populations
  
  

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred
• Licensure: Current RN license in the State of Connecticut
• Certifications: BLS required
• Experience: Prior hospital experience preferred; flexibility and adaptability essential
