Job Overview – Licensed Vocational Nurse (Residential Care):

Compensation: $42/hour

Location: Chico, CA

Schedule: Sunday to Wednesday, 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM

Our client is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (Residential Care) in Chico, CA, to deliver high-quality medical support for residents in a care program. You will assess health needs, administer treatments, manage medications for multiple individuals, and provide specialized care such as g-tube management and suctioning. Collaborate with healthcare providers and staff, maintain accurate records in TheraApp, and ensure compliance with all regulations.

Responsibilities as the Licensed Vocational Nurse (Residential Care):

• Provide Direct Nursing Care: Conduct assessments, administer treatments, manage chronic conditions, and perform specialized procedures such as g-tube care and suctioning.
• Administer Medications: Dispense and document medications for multiple residents in compliance with physician orders and regulatory standards.
• Coordinate Care: Work with physicians, therapists, and residential staff to deliver comprehensive, person-centered healthcare.
• Maintain Records & Compliance: Accurately document care in TheraApp and ensure adherence to state and organizational guidelines.

Qualifications for the Licensed Vocational Nurse (Residential Care):

• Licensure: Active California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license.
• Experience: Previous experience in residential care, long-term care, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with g-tube care, suctioning, and electronic documentation systems (TheraApp experience preferred).
• Additional Requirements: Must be 18 years or older, possess a valid driver’s license, and be able to pass medication to multiple residents efficiently.
• Skills & Attributes: Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently while providing compassionate, resident-focused care.
