Schedule & Contract

Shift: 12-Hour Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Schedule: 36 hours/week, every other weekend required

Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week

On-Call: None

Holiday Requirement: 75% of holidays

Scrubs Provided: Yes

Unit Beds: 10 LDRP, 2 OBs, 2 Triage

Radius Rule: Traveler’s permanent address must be 50+ miles from the facility

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to provide care in a combined Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn unit. The ideal candidate will be skilled in labor management, cesarean section circulation, PACU recovery, triage, and postpartum couplet care. This role requires flexibility, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to work in a collaborative, family-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage laboring patients, including monitoring, Pitocin and epidural management, and newborn resuscitation.

Circulate in the OR for cesarean sections and assist with PACU recovery.

Provide postpartum care to mothers and newborns using couplet care model.

Triage incoming patients and assess maternal and fetal well-being.

Document care accurately using EPIC EMR system.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including OB MDs, anesthesia/CRNA, and RT.

Float to other facilities within Region 3 (Cleveland, Kings Mountain, Lincoln, CMC Main, Mercy, LCH) as needed.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of LDRP experience

BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications

EFM certification (preferred)

Willingness to float within the region

Ability to work in LDRP setting

Preferred Experience:

First-time travelers accepted if necessary

Experience in postpartum-only, L&D, or full LDRP roles

Familiarity with Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell, Philips monitors, HUGGS system, and bladder scanners

Support Staff:

Scrub Techs: Assist with delivery trays, sections, equipment cleaning, and newborn baths

Charge Nurse: Available

Phlebotomy: Performed by nurses and lab staff

RT: Available 24/7

Receptionist/HUC, Resource Nurse, IV/VAT Team: Not available

*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
