Job Overview – Part-Time School Nurse (RN or LPN):

Compensation: $35 – $50/hour

Location: Sussex County, NJ

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 11:30 AM

Join our client as a Part-Time School Nurse (RN or LPN) in Sussex County, NJ, providing compassionate health services to students in a supportive school environment. Assess student health each morning, administer medications, respond to emergencies, and maintain accurate records in compliance with state and school guidelines. Collaborate with parents, teachers, and administrators, using EHR systems to support student well-being. Ideal for nurses with school or pediatric experience who excel in fast-paced, collaborative settings.

Responsibilities as the Part-Time School Nurse (RN or LPN):

• Assess Student Health: Evaluate students for illness or injury and determine readiness for class.
• Administer Care: Dispense medications, provide first aid, and manage chronic conditions in line with school policy.
• Maintain Health Records: Update and manage student health files to meet state and district requirements.
• Respond to Emergencies: Act swiftly in crisis situations and coordinate with emergency services as needed.
• Communicate with Stakeholders: Share health updates and concerns with parents, faculty, and administration.

Qualifications for the Part-Time School Nurse (RN or LPN):

• Licensure: Active New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required.
• Certification: Current CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Experience: Previous experience in a school health office, pediatric care, or community health nursing.
• Technical Skills: Skilled in the use of electronic health record systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and digital communication tools.
• Skills & Attributes: Exceptional communication and organizational abilities, with the capacity to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and handle sensitive situations with professionalism.
