Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Nurse to provide specialized care for children with tracheostomies and ventilator support in a home-like intermediate care facility. The nurse plays a vital role in daily medical management, family education, and collaborative care within an interdisciplinary team.

Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day tracheostomy care and ventilator management (using EVO and Astral vents)
• Care for infants and children up to 18 years old, including G-tube/J-tube care
• Collaborate with care team and families to ensure individualized, quality care
• Follow and contribute to Individualized Program Plans
• Maintain thorough documentation and complete reports as required
• Participate in child transports and social outings
• Support childcare staff and provide family education
• Adhere to confidentiality and safety standards

Additional Details:

• Patient ratio: 1 nurse to 3 patients | Max Beds: 6
• Work with one other nurse and aide per shift
• Parking available behind the single-family home
• Equipment: EVO & Astral ventilators, Bivona tracheostomy tubes (cuffed/uncuffed)

Key Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse license in Pennsylvania
• Minimum 1 year of independent pediatric tracheostomy and ventilator management experience (without respiratory therapist supervision)
• Current infant/child CPR certification
• Home care experience preferred
• Valid Driver’s License preferred

Schedule:

Rotating days on a 6-week schedule between the Mon-Fri

• Day Shift: 7 a.m. – 7 p.m., 3x12-hour shifts, Monday–Friday, no weekends
• OR
• Night Shift: 7 p.m. – 7 a.m., 3x12-hour shifts, Monday–Friday, no weekends
