QUALIFICATIONS

• Required- Master's Degree-Clinical focus program as a CNS

• Required- 3 years Clinical area of expertise

• Require within 90 days- Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association

• Required- Registered Nurse (RN) License

• As Required by Unit- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association

• Required- Post-Master's Degree Certified Nurse Specialist certificate, if MSN was not focused on the application of the CNS role
