Responsibilities

Registered Nurse (RN) - PreOp (Full-Time)

Location: 3555 N Webb Rd, Wichita, Kansas 67226, United States

Shifts: 8-hour or 10-hour shifts available

Are you a compassionate and skilled RN looking to make a meaningful impact in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment? Join our dedicated PreOp/PostOp team supporting cardiology procedures and help us deliver exceptional patient care every day.

As a PreOp RN, you’ll play a critical role in preparing patients for cardiology procedures and ensuring a safe, smooth transition through the perioperative process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough preoperative assessments, including cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological, and hemodynamic evaluations.
  • Develop and implement individualized perianesthesia care plans.
  • Monitor and interpret data from noninvasive and invasive equipment.
  • Administer medications safely using the 8 Rights of Medication Administration.
  • Provide acute pain and comfort management.
  • Ensure patient safety through proper positioning, infection control, and equipment use.
  • Educate patients and families on procedure expectations, recovery, and self-care.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated, high-quality care.
  • Document care accurately and completely.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and team huddles.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
  • Current RN license in good standing with the state of Kansas
  • One year of experience in ICU, ED, PACU, and/or medical-surgical nursing preferred
  • BLS/BCLS certification required within 90 days of employment (or current certification)
  • ACLS certification required within 90 days of employment (or current certification)
  • PALS certification required within 90 days of employment if pediatric care is part of facility services (or current certification)
  • Specialty certification in Perioperative or Perianesthesia Nursing preferred

USD $28.00/Hr. USD $38.00/Hr.
