Shift & Scheduling Notes

• 12-hour night shifts
• Will float between Acute Rehab and Acute Med Surg units
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required if needed
• On-call requirements: TBD
• No block scheduling permitted
  
  

Job Description

This is a Med Surg position with a September start. Candidates must be flexible and willing to float between units. Travelers must not be concurrently employed in another permanent or travel assignment. Schedule accommodation requests (e.g., block scheduling) will not be considered.

Responsibilities Include

• Coordinating total nursing care for patients
• Participating in patient and family education
• Providing leadership and collaboration with ancillary staff
• May be asked to serve as backup Charge Nurse
  
  

EMR System: Cerner Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:4–5 Average Daily Census: 22

Compliance & Attendance

• Requested time off must be submitted and verified at profile upload
• No more than 5 days of RTO will be accepted
• RTO requests after upload will not be approved
• Mt. Ascutney enforces a 3-strike call-off policy:
• After 3 call-offs, contract may be terminated
• All call-offs must be communicated to the unit supervisor at least 1.5 hours in advance
