Schedule Details

• Shift Type: Nights
• Shift Schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts per month (Saturday/Sunday)
• Block Scheduling: Not permitted
• Orientation: 16 hours, non-billable

• Patient Age Group: Adults
• Patient Ratios:
• Labor & Delivery: 1:1–3 (based on acuity and phase of labor)
• Women’s Health Unit: 1:3–6 (based on assignment and acuity)
• Float Requirement: Yes
• May float to high-risk Antepartum/Postpartum unit
• May monitor high-risk OB patients in ICU, ED, or telemetry units
• Traveler will not be primary RN in higher-acuity settings; responsible for OB assessments and fetal monitoring only
  

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
• Experience circulating for C-sections
• Antepartum care and procedures
• Use of external fetal monitoring (EFM)
• Labor and delivery management
  
  

Certifications

• Required: BLS (AHA), ACLS, NRP, FHM
• Preferred: AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced, Stroke CEUs
• AWHONN Intermediate or NCC C-EFM required (may be acquired prior to start with proof of registration)
