Position Purpose
At Saint Mary’s Hospital, the Nursing Supervisor (House) serves as the on-site leadership that ensures safe, high-quality, patient-centered care across all units by coordinating nursing operations, supporting staff, and resolving clinical and administrative issues. The supervisor acts as a resource for nursing teams and collaborates with other departments to maintain continuity of care and operational efficiency.

This role is not designed for new graduates or those seeking training for Nursing Supervision experience. Candidates must be able to function independently as a Nurse Supervisor in an inpatient Trauma Center.

Position Purpose

The supervisor acts as a resource for nursing teams and collaborates with other departments to maintain continuity of care and operational efficiency.
What You Will Do
- Support and guide nursing staff across departments.
- Coordinate staffing, scheduling, and patient flow.
- Resolve clinical and operational issues in real time.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety standards.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Current Connecticut RN license.
- The ideal candidate will have one or more years of Nursing Supervisor experience in an inpatient setting.
- BLS or CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
- Fundamental Critical Care Support (FCCS).
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Support available for certifications post-hire.

Position Highlights And Benefits
- Per Diem – Rotating Shifts.
- Shifts can be a combination of 8-hour and 12-hour shifts. Will require support on nights, weekends, and holidays
- Hourly position, eligible for shift differentials.
- Compensation Range: $44.05 min - $70.50 max.
