Unit Type: High-risk Labor & Delivery

Unit Details:

16 labor rooms

6 triage rooms

6 antepartum rooms

3 ORs

Level 3 NICU

Teaching hospital with resident coverage

24/7 in-house anesthesia

OR team handles scheduled and add-on C-sections.

Scrubs: Provided

⚕️ Requirements:

License: Active VA or Compact RN license in hand at submission

Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP

Preferred: AWHONN Intermediate

Skills: Circulating for C-sections, triage of OB patients

Experience: 1+ year L&D RN experience

EPIC experience required (Stork/OBTV module)

Must provide statement of EPIC experience for training placement

Vaccine Requirements:

COVID-19: Required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)

Flu: Required during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31); exemptions must comply with CMS guidelines.

Additional Notes:

Patient Diagnoses: Preeclampsia, GDM, PPROM, multiples, fetal anomalies, cardiac defects (mom/baby), etc.

Support Services: IV team, RT, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, unit secretary, rapid response

Documentation: EPIC + OBTV

Communication: SBAR

Floating: May be required, in rotation with staff
