Position Summary

As an LPN in the Detox Unit, you’ll provide direct patient care to individuals undergoing withdrawal and early recovery from substance use disorders. You'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, high-quality care during a vulnerable phase of treatment.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess patients for withdrawal symptoms and medication responses
• Administer prescribed medications and document patient outcomes
• Assist with intake assessments, vital signs, and health screenings
• Provide therapeutic communication and emotional support to patients in crisis
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, counselors, and social workers
• Respond to medical and behavioral emergencies using crisis de-escalation techniques
• Maintain detailed and accurate clinical documentation in accordance with regulations
• Ensure compliance with detox protocols and safety standards

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Required Qualifications:

• Active NYS Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in detox, addiction treatment, or psychiatric care

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) or MOAB (Management of Aggressive Behavior) certification
